Acceptable Use Policy

Guidelines for appropriate use of the CUSitez platform and hosted websites.

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") supplements the Terms of Service and governs your use of the CUSitez platform and any websites hosted through the Service. This AUP is incorporated by reference into the Terms of Service. All capitalized terms not defined herein have the meanings set forth in the Terms of Service.

Violation of this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without prior notice or refund.


1. Permitted Use

The Service is designed exclusively for credit unions, financial cooperatives, and related financial institutions to create and maintain their organizational websites. The Service may only be used for lawful purposes consistent with its intended function.


2. Prohibited Content

You may not publish, upload, transmit, or host any content that:

  • Is unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading
  • Infringes on any third party's intellectual property rights (copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other proprietary rights)
  • Contains false or misleading financial information, rates, terms, or disclosures
  • Violates any applicable financial regulation, consumer protection law, or industry requirement
  • Is defamatory, libelous, threatening, harassing, abusive, or hateful
  • Contains obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit material
  • Promotes violence, discrimination, or illegal activities
  • Contains malware, viruses, spyware, or other harmful code
  • Collects personal information from minors in violation of COPPA or similar laws
  • Violates privacy rights or data protection laws
  • Constitutes unsolicited commercial messages (spam)
  • Impersonates any person or entity, or falsely states or misrepresents your affiliation with any person or entity

3. Prohibited Activities

You may not use the Service to:

  • Operate a website for any entity other than the credit union or financial institution associated with your account
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service or any part thereof
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks connected to the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other accounts, computer systems, or networks
  • Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or crawlers to access the Service beyond its intended functionality
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Service
  • Transmit any worms, viruses, or code of a destructive nature
  • Use the Service to send bulk or unsolicited email (spam)
  • Engage in any activity that could overload, damage, or impair the Service infrastructure
  • Use the Service in any manner that could expose CUSitez to legal liability
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service
  • Use the Service to collect, store, or process sensitive personal data (such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or health information) beyond what is necessary for standard contact and inquiry forms

4. Resource Usage

Your use of the Service is subject to the resource limits of your subscription plan, including but not limited to:

  • Number of pages, forms, and domains
  • Storage space for media and documents
  • Number of user accounts
  • AI content generation credits

You may not attempt to circumvent plan limits or use the Service in a manner that disproportionately consumes shared resources (bandwidth, processing, storage) to the detriment of other users.


5. Security

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining strong, unique passwords for all user accounts
  • Promptly revoking access for former employees or personnel
  • Reporting any security vulnerabilities or incidents to us immediately
  • Ensuring that custom code injections (JavaScript, CSS) do not introduce security vulnerabilities or malicious functionality
  • Not sharing account credentials with unauthorized individuals

6. Code Injection Restrictions

The Service allows authorized administrators to inject custom code (JavaScript, CSS, HTML) into their websites. When using this feature, you must not inject code that:

  • Collects user data without proper consent and disclosure
  • Redirects visitors to malicious or deceptive websites
  • Interferes with the normal operation of the Service or compliance features
  • Introduces tracking or advertising not disclosed in your privacy policy
  • Mines cryptocurrency or consumes visitor device resources
  • Overrides or removes compliance footer elements, accessibility features, or required disclosures
  • Violates any third-party terms of service

7. Form Submissions and Data Collection

If you use the form builder to collect information from website visitors, you are responsible for:

  • Disclosing what information you collect and how it will be used
  • Complying with all applicable privacy laws (including CCPA, GDPR if applicable)
  • Not collecting sensitive financial information (account numbers, SSNs) through the form builder
  • Properly securing and handling all collected data
  • Responding to data subject requests in a timely manner

8. Enforcement

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to monitor your use of the Service for compliance with this AUP. If we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated this AUP, we may:

  • Issue a warning and request corrective action
  • Remove or disable access to offending content
  • Temporarily suspend your account pending investigation
  • Permanently terminate your account without refund
  • Report violations to appropriate law enforcement authorities
  • Take any other action we deem necessary to protect the Service, its users, or third parties

We are not liable for any action taken under this section, including removal of content or account termination.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service with at least thirty (30) days' advance notice. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
